Who we are
This website, aiapplied.au (and the aiapplied.com.au, www.aiapplied.au and www.aiapplied.com.au addresses), is operated by Ben Crook trading as AI Applied (ABN 47 490 142 808) ("AI Applied", "we", "us" or "our"), an AI implementation and automation consultancy based in Western Australia.
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use and store it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What personal information we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. In practice this means:
- Contact form. Our contact form is a Webflow form. When you complete it, we collect your name, your email address and the content of your message, which is sent to us by email at ben@aiapplied.au.
- Booking a call. If you book a meeting with us through Calendly, it collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address and any information you add to the booking.
- Messaging us. If you use the enquiry or callback widget on the site, we collect the messages you send and the contact details you provide.
- Email and direct contact. If you email us or contact us directly, we collect the information in your message and your contact details.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health, financial account or identity document details) through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us through the contact form or widget.
Information collected automatically
This website does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or similar marketing or behavioural tracking, and it does not set advertising or analytics cookies.
Our website is hosted by Webflow, and some embedded tools (for example our booking and enquiry widgets and our web font provider) may set functional cookies or receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, where that is necessary to make the feature work. This information is used to operate and secure the site, not to build a marketing profile of you.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may stop some features, such as the booking or enquiry widgets, from working properly.
How we use your information
We use the personal information you give us to respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you have asked for; arrange, confirm and follow up on meetings and consultations; provide, maintain and improve our services and this website; communicate with you about your enquiry or our work together; and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed to run our business and this website, including with service providers who help us operate the site and communicate with you (such as our website host and form provider Webflow, our email provider, our booking provider Calendly and our enquiry and callback widget); professional advisers, where reasonably required; and government or law enforcement bodies where we are required or authorised by law.
Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Contact form submissions reach us by email and are stored in our email and business systems. Information held by our service providers is protected under their own security arrangements. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. To make a request, email ben@aiapplied.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. In some cases we may be unable to delete information we are required to keep by law, and we will tell you if that applies.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at ben@aiapplied.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
